The Vice President, Media Relations is a senior, hands‑on media leader at the center of Highwire’s media function. This role is responsible for driving high-impact earned media strategy and execution across a portfolio of B2B technology, professional services, and financial services clients.
This position is designed for a seasoned media practitioner who brings deep expertise in earned media, strong relationships with top‑tier business and technology journalists, and a proven track record of delivering results in fast‑paced, agency environments. The VP, Media Strategy serves as a key day‑to‑day media lead across priority accounts while also contributing to new business efforts and agency growth.
The ideal candidate is both a strategic counselor and active media “doer,” with sharp editorial instincts, the ability to advise senior clients, and the drive to execute with precision, creativity, and speed.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $195,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Highwire offers both remote and hybrid work options, depending on where you live. Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with three in‑office days per week.
