Job summary

Connecticut Children’s seeks an experienced development leader to join the Foundation as Associate Vice President of Development. The role focuses on identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts to support hospital priorities, with a portfolio management approach across board and leadership engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Minimum seven years’ fundraising experience with a track record in leadership gifts.
• Direct experience in fundraising for a children’s hospital or academic medical center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, cultivate and solicit major gifts for Connecticut Children’s.
• Develop and maintain a portfolio of 150–175 high-quality donor relationships.
• Coordinate with faculty, staff, volunteers and Foundation colleagues on donor engagement.
• Meet annual activity and fundraising goals (visits, proposals, gifts, dollars raised).
• Engage leadership and board members in donor development activities.
• Maintain detailed records in Salesforce and track progress.
