Job summary

Blue Owl Capital Holdings LLC in New Jersey is seeking a senior valuations professional to lead the day-to-day valuation process, develop models, and prepare analyses for senior management. You will drive ad-hoc deliverables, trend identification, and performance drivers across Insurance and GP Strategic Capital.

The role requires 8+ years of valuation experience, deep knowledge of ASC 820, DCF, comps, and precedent transactions, and strong communication with partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business.
• 8+ years of valuation, consulting, or related experience.
• Experience with DCF, comps, and precedent transactions; ASC 820 knowledge.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.
• CFA or CPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day valuation process including reviews and analyses.
• Develop financial models to support valuations across platforms.
• Coordinate Materials for Valuation Committee and present trends.
• Provide SME on valuation-related projects and regulatory reviews.
• Drive process improvements ensuring ASC 820 compliance.
• Liaise with auditors and external valuation firms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day valuation process including valuation reviews, performance analyses, presentations to senior management, deliverable tracking, and completion of ad-hoc deliverables
• Develop financial models to evaluate, support, and reconcile valuations across Insurance and GP Strategic Capital including stress-testing and back-testing
• Coordinate activities and materials for the Valuation Committee with a focus on identifying and presenting trends and performance drivers relevant to our business
• Provide subject matter expertise on valuation‑related projects, such as regulatory reviews, new business initiatives, and current market practices relating to valuation issues / hot topics
• Drive process enhancements while ensuring policies, procedures, and methodologies are in accordance with ASC 820 Fair Value Measurement and industry best practices
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key business decision makers
• Act as a liaison for external auditors and third-party valuation firms, managing inquiries and ensuring valuation integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or business
• 8+ years of related work experience in valuations, consulting, or other relevant analytical roles exhibiting an in-depth knowledge of key financial metrics, capital structures, and financial statements
• Direct experience utilizing valuation techniques and methodologies including discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company, and precedent transactions with a thorough understanding of ASC 820 and corresponding valuation guidance
• Strong ability to analyze and evaluate data, formulate accurate conclusions, and clearly recommend solutions
• Effective project management skills with an awareness of internal business controls
• Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to forge strong collaborative relationships with internal partners/stakeholders at all levels
• Self‑motivated individual with strong work ethic and ability to work in a fast‑paced dynamic environment with limited supervision
• Finance or accounting designation such as CFA, CPA preferred
• Proficiency in Power BI preferred

Salary and Benefits

The base annual salary range for this New Jersey based position will be $175,000-$200,000. Actual salary offered will be based on the candidate’s skill, experience, and qualification for the role.

• Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.
