Job summary

Bank Of New York Mellon is seeking a Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join the Global Collateral Engineering team in Lake Mary, FL. You will lead fast-paced software delivery, collaborating across groups to implement solutions and resolve complex business and technical challenges.

The role requires 5–10 years of software development with Java 8+ and UI technologies, strong Spring Boot expertise, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline or equivalent work experience.
  • 5-10 years of software development experience with Java 8+ and frontend UI technologies.
  • Experience in securities/financial services is a plus.
  • Proficiency with core JavaScript, Angular 11+, CSS, HTML, and related UI toolsets.
  • Strong Spring Framework and Spring Boot experience; RESTful API development.

  • Collaborate with internal business groups on opportunities, challenges, and requirements.

We're seeking a future team member for the role of Vice President, Full-Stack Engineer to join our Global Collateral Engineering team. This role is in Lake Mary, FL.

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:

Provide superior software development services in a fast-paced and innovative working environment.

Work with internal business groups on implementation opportunities, challenges, and requirements.

Analyze information and provide recommendations to address and resolve business and technical issues. Actively participate in team discussions, provide guidance and expert opinion on the subject matter.

Coordinate coding, unit testing, implementation, and documentation of solution.

Ensure that expected application performance levels are achieved.

Comply with BNY's standard development methodology.

To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:

Bachelor's degree in computer science engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.

5-10 years of experience in software development - proficiency in Java 8 or higher and Front-End UI Technologies

Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Experience of working in UI tool sets & programming languages - Core JavaScript, Angular 11 or higher, JavaScript frameworks, CSS, HTML.

Experience in Spring Framework and proficiency with Spring Boot.

Solid coding and troubleshooting experience on REST API.

Strong SQL skills to work on Relational databases.

Strong experience in SDLC, DevOps processes - CI/CD tools, Git, etc.

Good understanding of monitoring tools such as AppDynamics, Splunk, Moogsoft.

Knowledge of Scrum methodologies and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to learn and pick up new skills and to perform with minimal management supervision.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.
