Qualifications

  • Degree qualified
  • 7-11 years’ experience in Restructuring or Leveraged Finance
  • Proven deal execution experience in Financial Restructuring, Leveraged Finance or M&A
  • Demonstrable experience in leading discussions with senior client executives and target management
  • Develop and review financial models
  • Highly proficient at Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of credit documents and liability management transactions
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments simultaneously
  • Strong work ethic, organizational skills and ability to multitask
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to grow our business and act entrepreneurially
  • Motivated, creative, outgoing with strong skills in financial analysis
  • Strong knowledge of accounting and applied financial theory

  • Lead execution on creditor- and debtor-side restructuring, liability management, capital markets and distressed M&A transactions
  • Prepare, analyze and help explain historical and projected financial information
  • Coordinate and perform business due diligence, lead and execute M&A transactions
  • Prepare confidential information memoranda, management presentations, marketing pitches and other presentations
  • Value companies and businesses
  • Assist in the marketing and planning of engagements
  • Lead a deal team including associates and analysts, serving as the day-to-day point person to drive a process and interact with the client
  • Build relationships and maintain direct contact with clients, prospective clients and professional advisors

Our Financial Restructuring practice is the largest worldwide, advising on more than 1,900 transactions with aggregate debt claims exceeding $4 trillion. We serve clients domestically and globally, providing extensive resources for each case.

Scope

As a Vice President in our Financial Restructuring Group you will lead execution on a variety of transactions, including debtor‑ and creditor‑side engagements ranging from capital markets and refinancing transactions to M&A and broad restructurings. The group offers a unique opportunity to work on projects that provide exposure to a wide variety of financial advisory and investment banking products and industries.

Key Services
  • Advising companies and stakeholders in out‑of‑court and in‑court restructurings
  • Raising debt and equity financing
  • Providing distressed M&A advisory services
  • Advising in special situations with elements of distressed investing
  • Participating in complex negotiations on behalf of our clients

Compensation & Benefits

Houlihan Lokey offers a competitive total compensation package that may include discretionary incentive compensation. The salary range for this role is projected at $250,000–$260,000. A comprehensive benefits package is also provided.
