Job summary

The Reserves Network is partnering with a financially strong organization seeking a Vice President of Accounting to lead corporate and investment accounting and shape the function's strategy.

This executive role offers high visibility, an opportunity to mentor senior accounting leaders, and to modernize processes while overseeing a complex portfolio of financial assets. Hybrid Omaha-based with relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Significant accounting leadership experience in a large or complex organization.
• Strong investment accounting experience.
• Experience with statutory and GAAP financial reporting related to investments.
• CPA, CFA, MBA or comparable designation preferred (not required).

Responsibilities

• Lead corporate accounting, investment accounting, and related financial operations.
• Oversee accounting and reporting for a complex portfolio of financial assets.
• Develop and lead established accounting leaders and their teams.
• Strengthen financial reporting, controls, reconciliations, and compliance.
• Drive process improvement, automation, and technology initiatives.

We are partnering with a large, financially strong organization seeking a Vice President of Accounting to lead key areas of its accounting and financial operations.

This is a highly visible leader-of-leaders opportunity with significant executive exposure, an experienced team, and the ability to make a meaningful impact across the organization.

A major component of this position is investment accounting, so we're specifically looking for an accounting leader who brings meaningful experience overseeing the accounting and reporting of a complex investment or financial asset portfolio.

Compensation

• Significant annual incentive opportunity
• Approximately $300K-$350K total compensation, depending on experience and performance

What You’ll Do

• Lead corporate accounting, investment accounting, and related financial operations

What We’re Looking For

• Significant accounting leadership experience within a large or complex organization
• Strong investment accounting experience required
• Experience with statutory and/or GAAP financial reporting related to investments
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, controls, audit, and compliance
• Experience leading through multiple levels of management
• Strong executive presence and business partnership skills
• Experience within insurance, financial services, or another regulated environment highly desirable
• CPA, CFA, MBA, or comparable designation/education preferred (not required)
• Ability to work onsite in Omaha 3 days per week
