Job summary

Ernest is seeking a Vice President of Finance to lead and scale the company’s finance functions during a period of rapid growth. You will oversee Accounting, Finance, AP, AR, and Credit, while aligning financial strategy with organizational goals and building a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

You will mentor leaders, drive planning and forecasting, and partner with executives to evaluate investments and strategic opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required; MBA preferred.
• 15–20 years in finance or accounting with 10+ years in an executive role.
• Experience in high-growth organizations, ideally in distribution.
• Experience leading international business units and transactions.

Position Summary:

The Vice President of Finance will oversee the Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit departments. Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s aggressive growth objectives.
• Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the Accounting, Finance, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Credit departments.
• Lead financial planning and analysis.
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and long-term strategic planning, working in concert with the executive and leadership teams.
• Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting, aligning with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
• Implement and oversee policies, processes, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and mitigate financial risks.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to evaluate business opportunities, investments, and growth initiatives.
• Partner with operations to identify opportunities to enhance company profitability through analysis, strategy, and process improvements.
• Foster a sales-driven mindset by aligning all departments to support sales efforts while maintaining financial discipline and ensuring proper procedures are followed.
• Mentor and develop the leadership team within each department, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.

Qualifications:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, MBA is preferred.

Experience:

• 15–20 years of professional experience in finance or accounting, with at least 10 years in an executive leadership role.
• Proven track record in high-growth organizations, preferably within the distribution industry.
• Experience in management and leadership of international business units and transactions.

• Demonstrated ability to align departmental performance with organizational goals and foster a collaborative, service-driven culture.
• Experience leading diverse, multi-functional teams with a focus on engagement, mentorship, and partnership.
