Job Duties
  1. Lead and mentor a three-person accounting team while implementing strategic financial improvements
  2. Oversee general ledger accounting, consolidated financials, and corporate taxation
  3. Manage multi-jurisdictional sales and tax compliance for contracting projects
  4. Optimize Vista ERP system implementation and improve Procore integration
  5. Develop enhanced financial reporting and KPIs to support data-driven decision making
  6. Build relationships with project management to enhance financial accountability
  7. Manage external relationships with banks, insurance, and bonding agencies
  8. Administer state and local tax licensing and renewals
Qualifications
  1. 10+ years of progressive accounting experience in construction industry
  2. Experience with Vista ERP system (required)
  3. Master's degree in accounting or business administration (MBA in Finance and CPA/CMA preferred)
  4. Strong understanding of tax compliance for multi-jurisdictional contracting
  5. CCIFP certification (or willingness to obtain)
  6. Experience with Procore and Microsoft Power BI beneficial
  7. Knowledge of government contracting, FAR compliance requirements
  8. Strategic thinker who translates financial data into valuable business insights
  9. Diplomatic change manager skilled at building relationships with established teams
  10. Outstanding communicator capable of engaging at all levels of the organization
  11. Forward-thinking problem-solver who anticipates challenges
  12. Comfortable with courageous conversations and able to manage complex projects simultaneously
  13. Ability to balance tactical financial operations with strategic business leadership
