We’re partnering with a family-backed private investment firm in Houston to hire a Vice President for its private investment team.

About the firm

The firm invests in founder-led businesses across the industrial and physical economy, writing initial equity checks of $50–150M. All of the capital comes from a single founding family, so there are no LPs, no fund life and no forced exits. That lets the firm offer founders structures a traditional fund can’t, including a path to earn back majority ownership over time.

The role

This is a different seat from a typical fund VP. You’ll work directly with the CIO, who brings an exceptional track record from large-cap private equity and activist investing. You’ll lead underwriting on new investments, but the larger part of the role is market-facing: meeting founders, intermediaries and advisors, and becoming the face of the strategy. There is a meaningful budget for travel and networking.
