Sonos is seeking a Vice President of Enterprise Acceleration to lead the global enterprise technology organization from Boston or Santa Barbara. Reporting to the COO, you will own ERP/SAP, revenue, supply chain, finance systems, and data
This role can be based in Boston, MA or Santa Barbara, CA.
Sonos is hiring a Vice President of Enterprise Acceleration to lead our global enterprise technology organization at a pivotal moment. This is an engineering-led executive role, not solely a traditional IT operations position. Enterprise Acceleration sits in the company’s Customer organization, alongside Direct to Consumer (DTC), Customer Experience, and Partnerships, and reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer. We are looking for a leader with a strong engineering and platform development background who has personally led AI-enabled transformation from concept into production. This leader will reshape how enterprise technology is designed, built, and operated: reimagining business workflows, moving manual processes to intelligent automation, and delivering measurable improvements in customer experience, capacity, speed, and growth. They will maintain a strong public-company security posture and own the systems supporting commerce, customer service, supply chain, finance, and revenue, as well as the data and infrastructure beneath them. Sonos’ strategy is clear: Sonos is the essential platform for seamless entertainment in the home. We value clarity over hedging, specificity over vagueness, and outcomes over activity. The right leader is an engineering-oriented builder who can envision how AI fundamentally changes work, turn that vision into shipped capabilities, and treat cost discipline and security as table stakes.
Lead and develop a global organization of roughly 150 people across AI, applications, data, infrastructure, security, and architecture, building a high-accountability leadership team and modern engineering culture.
Set and execute an engineering-led enterprise technology strategy in direct partnership with the COO and senior leadership team, including the CFO, CRO, CMO, CPO, and Software leadership; champion modern platform engineering, software delivery practices, and product-oriented ways of working.
Own enterprise applications, including ERP/SAP, revenue systems, supply chain and finance systems, DTC e-commerce, marketing technology engineering, and the global contact center platform.
Lead enterprise AI transformation beyond tool deployment: identify high-value workflows, redesign how work gets done, move AI-enabled solutions into production, and quantify impact on growth, productivity, cycle time, and customer outcomes; use cross-functional transformation pods and function-specific targets to scale what works.
Build an AI-ready engineering and data foundation, including agent orchestration and integration capabilities, a consistent agent registry, authentication layer, and governance model in partnership with the Software organization, with the goal of enabling through guardrails, not gates.
Lead data strategy, platforms, and engineering across customer, finance, and product data on a modern Snowflake-based platform.
Continually modernize Sonos’ security posture in an evolving AI world, driving the cyber program toward NIST maturity, owning SOX controls, and ensuring SEC material-incident disclosure readiness.
Oversee IT infrastructure and operations, including global support desk, infrastructure and site engineering, collaboration tools, and factory/manufacturing engineering technology.
Own the IT investment portfolio and operating plan; make disciplined build, buy, and partner decisions; and manage major vendor, outsourcing, and BPO relationships.
Run closer to the customer by measuring IT impact through business outcomes such as DTC conversion, customer service cost, CSAT, revenue system reliability, and operational performance.
Sonos is one of the most beloved brands in consumer technology. Our products sit at the intersection of sound, software, hardware, services, and the home, and our customers expect a premium experience every time they press play. The enterprise technology agenda is central to Sonos’ next chapter. This leader will build an engineering-led, AI-enabled, customer-connected enterprise technology function that changes how work gets done while strengthening the systems, data, infrastructure, and security behind the business. This is an opportunity to lead a global technology organization, partner directly with the COO and senior leadership team, and help shape how Sonos scales enterprise technology for the future.
