Job description

Pershing LLC seeks a Vice President, Data Management & Quantitative Analysis II for its New York, NY location.

DUTIES:

  1. Develop statistical, financial, and econometric models to analyze asset performance, client reference data, securities data, derivative pricing, risk exposure, or other advanced concepts.
  2. Provide analytical and project leadership within the assigned area.
  3. Conduct complex statistical and quantitative analyses.
  4. Collaborate with management to develop and implement analysis techniques and methodologies.
  5. Perform data modeling and quantitative analysis projects using technological tools.
  6. As an advanced user, perform light programming or system configuration to set up models or algorithms.
  7. Assist in evaluating and selecting appropriate technologies.
  8. Understand relevant processes and products, and identify suitable analysis methods for performance, risk, or valuation assessments.
  9. Coordinate complex projects with cross-functional or enterprise-wide impact.
  10. Interpret findings, prepare reports, and deliver results to management and leadership.
  11. Provide recommendations based on analysis outcomes.
  12. Translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  13. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite.

REQUIREMENTS:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mathematics, Economics, Financial Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Seven (7) years of experience in a related quantitative role in the financial services industry, including:
  • Applying techniques such as SQL, querying, and macro development for data extraction.
  • Developing quantitative risk models supporting the first-line risk framework.
  • Coding in Python, R, Excel, VBA for financial models supporting risk management.
  • Managing Prime Brokerage client portfolios from a risk perspective and making credit decisions in line with FINRA regulations.
  • Participating in client due diligence and ensuring credit decisions align with the firm’s credit appetite.

Salary Range: $204,000.00 annually.
