Job Description Summary:
The Vice President, Compliance Business Partner is a key leader on the Compliance team and serves as the main point of contact between the Compliance team and the business units, including Commercial, Purchasing, Business Development, Revenue Cycle Management, Ambulatory Infusion Centers, Naven Health, and acquired businesses. This role is responsible for guiding these teams in understanding and adhering to company policies, regulations, and our compliance program. The Vice President offers strategic advice on initiatives, manages daily operations, and monitors regulatory changes, with a focus on preventing, detecting, and addressing fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA). This leader fosters a culture of integrity and accountability, proactively identifying and mitigating compliance risks. The position reports to the SVP, Chief Compliance Officer.
Job Responsibilities:
- Act as a trusted advisor to business teams, providing strategic guidance on compliance issues, including regulatory and policy requirements, issue identification, and implementation of controls and risk mitigation strategies.
- Propose innovative solutions to meet business objectives within ethical boundaries, enhancing risk-based decision-making and business performance.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in healthcare compliance, including FWA, Medicare & Medicaid billing, and interactions with healthcare professionals.
- Lead or support risk assessments of business activities, identifying compliance risks and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Partner with business teams to incorporate compliance into strategic planning, decision-making, and new initiatives, ensuring alignment with corporate values.
- Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and procedures tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate across functions such as Operations, Market Access, Internal Audit, Legal, Clinical & Quality, HR, and Finance.
- Act as a liaison between Compliance and business teams, promoting communication, collaboration, and engagement with the Compliance brand.
- Support continuous improvement of the compliance program by sharing insights, recommending enhancements, and leading updates.
- Ensure policies are integrated into program development, including oversight and approval of programs and processes.
- Work with Compliance Operations on healthcare engagement processes, investigations, policy updates, training, monitoring, and corrective actions.
- Stay current on laws, regulations, and industry trends affecting healthcare compliance and advise stakeholders accordingly.
- Educate staff on external regulatory landscape and drive policy enhancements to stay compliant.
- Identify educational opportunities and deliver compliance training in partnership with Compliance Operations.
- Support M&A compliance activities, including due diligence, risk assessment, and integration.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Basic Qualifications:
- 12+ years in healthcare or related compliance experience, including partnership, monitoring, auditing, and investigations.
- Proven leadership in healthcare compliance, with knowledge of regulations like Anti-Kickback, Stark Law, HIPAA, Medicare/Medicaid.
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
- Knowledge of laws and guidelines affecting healthcare, including OIG and PhRMA.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership, and risk assessment skills.
- Ability to lead change and foster a team culture.
Physical Demands & Travel:
- Ability to sit at a computer for extended periods.
- Willing to travel up to 10% as needed.
Preferred Qualifications & Interests:
- In-house compliance experience at a publicly traded company.
Salary Range: $176,583.32 - $294,320.24, determined by experience and qualifications.
