Highwire is looking for a Vice President of Business Development to lead and scale the agency’s new business function during a key growth stage. This role will own Highwire's new business engine, driving pipeline strategy and converting opportunities into long-term client partnerships.
The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in business development, strong pitching skills, and a proven record of leading multi-stakeholder pitches. Highwire offers remote and hybrid work options based on the candidate's location.

This role owns Highwire’s new business engine—driving pipeline strategy, leading pitches, and converting opportunities into long-term client partnerships. Working closely with executive leadership and practice teams, this leader will shape go-to-market strategy, elevate pitch excellence, and build the systems that make growth repeatable and scalable.
The salary range for this position is $130,000 to $175,000, with the final offer based on a combination of factors, including education, relevant experience, skills, prior training, internal equity, and local geographic market data. Hybrid: Candidates located within commuting distance of our New York, NY or San Francisco, CA offices follow a hybrid schedule, with three in-office days per week.
Remote: We hire for fully remote roles in the following states: California, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, Washington, and Washington, D.C. Candidates must reside in one of these locations at the time of hire.
