Position Summary

The Vice President, Access, Value Evidence & Pricing, is responsible for shaping the global value, pricing, reimbursement, evidence, and patient access strategy for the company's portfolio of gene therapies.

Reporting to the Chief Commercialization Officer, this leader will build and lead an integrated value, access, and pricing function spanning U.S. payer strategy, reimbursement strategy, HEOR and evidence generation, access policy, international access, trade and channel strategy, patient services, and payer access to genetic testing for genetic cardiomyopathies. This leader will ensure that value, pricing, and access strategy is developed with a clear understanding of payer coverage requirements, genetic testing access barriers, country-level reimbursement requirements, international reference pricing dynamics, launch sequencing considerations, and evidence needs across priority markets.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Value, Access, and Pricing Strategy

  • Serve as Rocket's senior leader for value, pricing, and patient access strategy.
  • Represent global value, access & pricing perspective, partnering with Global Product Heads and cross-functional leaders to drive access strategy, evidence planning, launch sequencing, and lifecycle decision-making from early development through commercialization.
  • Provide strategic input into portfolio prioritization, business planning, launch readiness, and external communications by translating payer, HTA, policy, pricing, reimbursement, diagnostic access, and access dynamics into enterprise-level recommendations.
  • Partner with the Chief Commercialization Officer, Executive Leadership Team, and other senior stakeholders to assess access opportunities, reimbursement risks, pricing considerations, evidence needs, diagnostic access requirements, and advice on long-term access outlook for Rocket's portfolio.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise-level access readiness dashboards and KPIs spanning payer access, reimbursement outcomes, patient access performance, treatment center access barriers, genetic testing coverage and pull-through, pricing assumptions, and pull-through effectiveness.

Global Market Access and Pricing Strategy

  • Develop and execute Rocket's integrated global pricing and market access strategy across U.S. commercial and government payers, international markets and access archetypes, HTA bodies, ensuring sustainable patient access and commercial viability.
  • Anticipate, monitor and translate emerging international access and policy frameworks and development, international reference pricing dynamics, diagnostic testing coverage trends, and gene therapy-specific payment models, into enterprise portfolio and launch strategy.

U.S. Market Access, Pricing, Reimbursement, and Channel Strategy

  • Lead U.S. market access, pricing, and reimbursement strategy across commercial and government payers, IDNs, launch pricing, gross-to-net assumptions, and innovative access models.
  • Translate U.S. healthcare policy, payer management, diagnostic testing coverage, site-of-care dynamics, and gene therapy payment trends into portfolio strategy, launch planning, and genetic testing access pathways for genetic cardiomyopathies.

Treatment Center Enablement, Patient Services, Trade, Distribution and Channel Strategy

  • Partner with cross-functional launch team to shape US treatment center selection strategy. Lead U.S. treatment center readiness for patient services, HUB operations, genetic testing access resources, and trade, distribution, and channel strategy to ensure payer, reimbursement, patient support, and operational requirements are embedded into launch readiness and sustained across the product lifecycle.

Health Economics and Outcomes Research

  • Lead Rocket’s HEOR, evidence generation, and value demonstration strategy across the portfolio to support payer decision-making, HTA and reimbursement requirements, genetic testing access, clinical development planning, evidence packages, publications, payer communications, and regulatory and post-approval evidence strategy.

Organizational Leadership, Governance, Capability Building

  • Build, lead, and scale a high-performing value, access, and pricing organization with the talent, governance, processes, capabilities, culture, and compliance standards needed to support Rocket’s growing portfolio and enterprise objectives.

Access policy shaping and external engagement

  • Shape access policy and external engagement by building senior relationships with payers, HTA and reimbursement authorities, policy stakeholders, treatment centers, advocacy organizations, channel partners, and industry coalitions to advance sustainable access to cell and gene therapies.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Advanced degree (MBA, PharmD, PhD, MD, MPH) strongly preferred; significant gene therapy expertise may be considered in lieu of a specific degree requirement.
  • 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience in biopharmaceuticals, with demonstrated expertise spanning market access, pricing, HEOR, and patient access in large and emerging company environments.
  • Demonstrated experience leading or influencing value, access, and pricing strategy at the product, portfolio, and enterprise level.
  • Deep expertise in U.S. Buy & Bill and specialty pharmacy reimbursement, commercial and government payer strategy, and the specific access and distribution dynamics of complex cell and gene therapies; prior launch experience in gene therapy or innovative treatments strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record designing and executing innovative reimbursement models, including outcomes-based contracting, installment payments, managed entry agreements, and risk-sharing arrangements relevant to high-cost therapies.
  • Functional leadership experience across two or more of the following domains: trade and distribution, patient services, HUB operations, payer marketing, HEOR, government affairs-adjacent policy engagement.
  • Strong executive presence, influence, strategic judgment, communication skills, and ability to operate as a peer and strategic partner to executive leaders and key senior stakeholders
  • Excellent strategic thinking skills with demonstrated comfort in novel and ambiguous environments where precedent does not exist and frameworks must be built from scratch.
  • Outstanding written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to translate complex payer, reimbursement, and evidence concepts for executive, investor, and policy audiences.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (minimum 40%).
Compensation

The expected salary range for this position is $281,000 to $393,000.

We are committed to compensating employees equitably based on several factors, including responsibilities and level of the position, depth and types of the employee’s experience, location of the position and availability of similar talent in a competitive market.

For U.S.-based candidates, this is an at‑will position, and Rocket reserves the right to adjust the range at hire or during the year due to market shifts.
