University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC) seeks a fellowship-trained radiologist to serve as Vice Chair of Radiology Research. The role combines leadership of a translational imaging program with a half-time clinical practice in radiology, fostering collaboration across departments and the Fred and Pamela Buffett Cancer Center.

The ideal candidate will lead a nationally recognized research program, mentor trainees, and secure extramural funding while contributing to a busy nuclear medicine

Qualifications

• Fellowship-trained radiologist with proven clinical expertise in radiology sub-specialty.
• Strong track record in translational or clinical research.
• Interest or experience in theranostics, AI, or informatics to support imaging sciences.

Responsabilités

• Develop a nationally recognized radiology research program.
• Mentor faculty, residents, and students in research methods and scholarship.
• Lead investigator-driven imaging trials and secure extramural funding.
• Support clinical trials and collaborate with tumor metrics lab.
