Job summary

Via is recruiting driver partners in Calexico, CA to provide on-demand shared rides using the Via platform. Earn up to $17.50 per hour (net) after vehicle expenses, with a $100 new driver partner promotion. Independent contractors can log on when they choose, with no minimum commitments.

Eligible drivers may lease a vehicle through our partner and access quarterly healthcare subsidies if eligible. Background checks and DMV verification are required to operate on the Via platform in Calexico

Qualifications

• Be 25 years of age or older (as applicable).
• Have more than 1 year of unrestricted US driving history.
• Have personal auto insurance policy.

Responsibilities

• Drive on the Via platform to provide shared rides for Calexico On-Demand riders.
• Lease and drive a vehicle from the vehicle leasing partner as required.
• Complete background checks including criminal and motor vehicle records.
• Provide reliable, on-demand transportation with flexible hours.

Earn a $100 new driver partner promotion and up to $17.50/hr (net) driving on the Via platform in Calexico, CA!

Via uses app-based technology to make transportation more efficient. We are reinventing shared rides to help reduce congestion, lower emissions and get passengers to their destinations efficiently. In Calexico, we are working with Imperial County Transportation Commission (ICTC) to provide Calexico On-Demand, which is an on-demand micro-transit service. We are partnering with independent contractor Driver Partners who will be able to use the Via Platform to connect with Calexico On-Demand riders.

To be eligible to operate on the Via Platform for Calexico On-Demand, you must:

• Have a valid California driver’s license
• Be 25 years of age or older
• Have more than 1 year of unrestricted, US driving history
• Have personal auto insurance policy
• Pass a background check, including criminal and motor vehicle record checks (SSN needed)
• Lease and drive a vehicle from a vehicle leasing partner

Any additional requirements for participating in this service will be communicated to prospective Driver Partners as necessary.

New driver partner promotion: To be eligible, you must complete at least 10 hours of driving on the Via platform within 30 days of completing your driver onboarding session. Time offline, including breaks, will not be included in this 10-hour minimum. This promotion may be revoked or altered at any time at Via's sole discretion, and these terms are subject to change at Via's sole discretion.
