Job summary

Broad River Animal Hospital in Weaverville, NC is hiring a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and client service. The role emphasizes collaboration with veterinarians, handling animals safely, and performing lab work, imaging, and anesthesia support.

You will work Monday–Friday with one day off, receive a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance, paid time off, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) certification.
• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledgeable about common disease states and able to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
• Communicate clearly with clients, including care instructions and status updates.
• Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
• Help keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines at all times.

Salary: $24.00-$26.00 per hour dependent on skills and experience

Schedule: Monday- Friday 7:45AM-5:15PM, one day off during the week
