PAZ South in Austin, TX is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our collaborative team. This full-time position offers hands-on patient care and opportunities to grow within a supportive hospital setting.

You'll work alongside veterinarians and teammates to examine, treat, and care for pets, with daily tasks like taking vital signs, assisting during procedures, radiographs, and client communication.

Responsibilities

• Providing compassionate, hands-on patient care
• Assisting veterinarians with examinations, treatments, procedures, and surgery
• Obtaining and monitoring patient vital signs
• Collecting and processing laboratory samples
• Placing IV catheters and administering medications
• Preparing patients for procedures and assisting with anesthesia monitoring
• Taking radiographs
• Maintaining accurate medical records
• Communicating with clients about patient care and treatment instructions
• Maintaining clean, organized, and well-stocked treatment areas
• Supporting veterinarians and fellow veterinary team members
• Helping create a positive experience for patients, clients, and coworkers
