Job summary

Pet Evolution Richmond is seeking a mobile nail van tech to deliver compassionate, high-quality pet care at clients' homes using a Mercedes Sprinter mobile unit. You will trim nails, clean ears, and perform grooming tasks with a focus on pet welfare and client satisfaction.

You must drive, work independently, and provide excellent customer service in a flexible schedule environment with advancement opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school graduate.
• Clean driving record.
• Prior vet tech/mobile groomer experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform nail trimming and filing services for dogs and cats.
• Drive the mobile van and operate as a single-person service.
• Provide nail trims, ear cleanings, tooth brushing, gland expression and baths in our Mercedes van.
• Safely handle and restrain animals during services.
• Clean and sanitize tools and equipment after each appointment.
• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand needs and preferences.
• Maintain records of services and client information.
• Deliver compassionate care for stressed animals in new environments.
• Work independently and drive alone to complete all services.
• Assist with other duties assigned by supervisors cheerfully.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform nail trimming and filing services for dogs and cats.


• Ability to drive the mobile van and do the services as a single person operation. Comfortable driving Mercedes sprinter mobile van.


• Ability to perform pet nail trims, ear cleanings, tooth brushing , ear cleaning , gland expression, waterless shampoo, express brushing in our high-tech Mercedes mobile grooming van.


• Safely handle and restrain animals during the service to ensure their safety and comfort.


• Cleaning and sanitizing tools and equipment after each appointment.


• Communicate effectively with pet owners to understand their specific needs and preferences.


• Assess the condition of pets’ nails and recommend appropriate services.


• Maintain records of services provided and client information.


• It’s important to understand that animals oftentimes are very stressed when introduced to new environments or unfamiliar situations. Nail Trim Technicians must understand this and treat all situations accordingly, with kindness and compassion.


• Pay close attention to specific instructions given by the customer. Monitor specific pet behavior to deter harm to self or animal.


• Ability to work independently, you need to be able to drive alone and do all these services


• Carrying out other duties assigned by supervisors in a cheerful and efficient manner


• Bathing and preparing pets for grooming


• Provide the full-service bathing package (bath, blow dry, nail trim & file, ear clean) plus other add-ons like teeth brushing , gland express


• Servicing walk-in clients on a la carte services


• Clean the facility and do regular cleaning tasks


• Answering phones and scheduling appointments

Key qualifications:

• Minimum high school graduate


• Clean driving record


• Prior experience as a vet tech or mobile groomer or a mobile nail van tech
