Qualifications

• 2 years minimum experience in a veterinary hospital.
• CVT/LVT/RVT preferred but not required.
• Experience with general practice and full-service veterinary care preferred.
• Graduates of accredited vet tech programs encouraged to apply.
• Strong veterinary medical knowledge and anesthesia monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnostic procedures: blood draws, urinalysis, radiology, ultrasound, and in-house labs.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist in surgeries, dental procedures, and post-op care.
• Prepare and assist with surgical and dental procedures in a sterile environment.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments (e.g., wound care, fluids).
• Explain treatment plans and educate clients on preventive care and nutrition.
• Update EMR with treatments, progress, and communications; manage inventory and maintain a clean clinical environment.
• Support a team-focused workflow and assist colleagues during busy or emergency situations.
• Specialized areas like surgical assistance, dentistry, and emergency care are mentioned as preferred.
