Qualifications

• Weekend availability required.
• Previous veterinary experience preferred.
• Ability to lift patients and equipment up to 25 pounds.
• Follow OSHA safety techniques including PPE.
• Basic math for medication dosages.
• Basic computer skills including MS Office.
• Strong communication to ensure patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians and staff with patient care and treatment.
• Monitor hospitalized pets and maintain inventory.
• Prepare prescriptions and perform in-house lab work.
• Take histories, vital signs, and weights during outpatient exams.
• Assist with surgeries and anesthesia as directed by veterinarians.
• Maintain clean, organized exam and treatment areas.
