Job summary

GoodVets, a nationwide network of animal hospitals, is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians and provide high-quality care. The role involves surgical support, anesthesia monitoring, diagnostics, and client education at our Fish Hawk or Apollo Beach locations.

Qualifications

• CVT or RVT license preferred but not required.
• Prior surgical and anesthesia experience in a veterinary setting.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Strong customer service orientation and a passion for helping pets and people.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Team-oriented mindset with eagerness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters with accuracy.
• Conduct radiographic imaging and assist with diagnostics.
• Monitor anesthesia and assist veterinarians during procedures.
• Perform physical exams and patient assessments, communicating findings.
• Assist in surgical preparation, dental procedures and lab work.
• Deliver compassionate care to hospitalized patients and ensure comfort.
• Maintain patient records and communicate with clients for follow-up and education.
• Contribute to a clean, organized hospital environment.
