PetVet Care Centers' Lake Norman at Mooresville Animal Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join a busy full-service practice in Mooresville, NC. The role involves patient care, diagnostics, nursing duties, and supporting veterinarians throughout examinations and procedures.

We offer a culture of care, strong team support, competitive benefits, and a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience. Four-day work weeks and day shifts with occasional Saturdays are part of the schedule.

Qualifications

• Must have two years of experience with veterinary appointments, surgeries, and nursing care for hospitalized and critical patients.
• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or LVMT preferred.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to be considered for this position.

Responsabilités

• Determine animal requirements by conducting examinations and interviews, reviewing care plans and records, completing laboratory tests and studies, and diagnostic imaging.
• Care for patients by taking vital signs, collecting samples, administering medications, drugs, and vaccines, and bandaging and wrapping wounds.
• Assist during examinations and operations by assembling required supplies and instruments, securing patients, and restraining patients; assist the veterinarian as directed.
• Maintain medical records by documenting patients’ conditions, reactions, and changes; update the database accurately and timely.
• Communicate with pet owners about the status of the patient as directed by the veterinarian.
