Job summary

Hampden Family Pet Hospital in Englewood, CO, is seeking an experienced Registered Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-Accredited hospital and Thrive Pet Healthcare partner. You will deliver advanced medical and surgical care, including orthopedic and laparoscopic procedures, for dogs, cats, pocket pets, and reptiles.

You’ll support veterinarians during exams, monitor anesthesia, collect histories, and communicate treatment plans with clients.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary technician experience with direct patient care.
• Active RVT/LVT/CVT credential.
• Proficiency in IV catheter placement, bloodwork, and injections.
• Experience monitoring anesthesia and working with monitoring equipment.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
• Commitment to empathetic, gold-standard veterinary medicine.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Place IV catheters and perform blood draws and injections.
• Monitor anesthesia and utilize monitoring equipment.
• Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with Colorado regulations.
• Collect and maintain accurate patient histories and medical records.
• Communicate with clients regarding medications and treatment plans.
• Use safe restraint techniques and maintain clean treatment areas.
• Support positive patient flow and efficient hospital operations.
• Mentor and support fellow team members.
