Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic is Hiring a Registered Veterinary Technician!

Role: Registered Veterinary Technician

Status: Full-time

Salary: $25.00 - $28.00 per hour, based on experience

Schedule: Monday through Friday, Opening and Closing Shifts

For 30+ years, Yellow Springs Veterinary Clinic has delivered top-notch care to cats and dogs across Frederick and the surrounding communities. We’re proud to be an AAHA-accredited hospital (continuously since 2002), and we’re growing! We’re looking for a compassionate, skilled Registered Veterinary Technician to join our friendly, collaborative team.

The registered veterinary technician is the veterinarian’s primary medical support. They begin the examination procedure and continue to assist the doctor throughout the examination, diagnosis, and treatment phases. They aid the veterinarians in achieving greater efficiency by relieving them of technical and administrative detail. They have a very significant role in communicating with and educating clients about their pets.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Client education, maintaining medical charts, blood draws, administering medications and injections, performing radiographs, placing IV catheters, surgical prep and anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, fill prescription requests, holding and restraining, facility maintenance and safety, diagnostics and laboratory procedures, and regular hospital cleaning.

Must be an efficient and punctual worker, have compassion for our patients and clients, and have excellent communication skills.
