Maine Veterinary Medical Center in Scarborough, ME is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician - Rehabilitation to join our Rarebreed team. You will assist in implementing rehabilitation therapy plans and work with specialists to deliver high-quality care for pets.

Responsibilities include operating rehabilitation equipment such as underwater treadmills and laser therapy devices, monitoring progress, educating clients, and keeping detailed therapy notes.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one year experience in veterinary or animal handling role.
• Credentialed candidates (LVT/CVT/RVT) strongly desired.
• CCRT or CCRP certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist rehabilitation therapy plans with exercises and modalities.
• Operate rehabilitation equipment such as underwater treadmills and lasers.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust support as needed.
• Provide hands-on mobility, strengthening, and recovery support.
• Maintain detailed therapy notes and progress records.
• Educate clients on at-home exercises and plans.
• Maintain a clean, safe rehabilitation environment.
• Collaborate with veterinarians and specialists to optimize outcomes.
