Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• College or college-equivalent education required to become Credentialed Vet Tech.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain weights and vital signs, and record in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarian with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia as directed.
• Perform patient restraint, process lab samples, handle medications, and maintain records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, relay test results, and manage records and accounts.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and discharge or transfer as needed.
• Provide in-hospital treatments and injections, keep patients fed and clean as directed.
• Participate in training new staff and disseminating knowledge.
• Maintain a clean hospital environment and adhere to maintenance schedules.
