Job Summary
Delmarva Equine Clinic is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in equine care and handling, with a focus on supporting veterinarians in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires technical skills, veterinary knowledge, and a passion for animal welfare.

This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and treatments.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests and diagnostic imaging, including X-Rays.
  • Administer medications, vaccinations, and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor vital signs and overall health of animal patients during procedures.
  • Maintain accurate medical records for each patient.
  • Educate pet owners on animal care, nutrition, and preventive health.
  • Handle animals safely during examinations and treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure inventory is up to date and fully stocked.

Schedule

Floating schedule depending on clinic needs.

Skills

  • Proficiency in veterinary terminology for effective communication.
  • Experience with equine care is a plus.
  • Strong animal handling skills for safety.
  • Experience in an equine or veterinary setting is preferred.
  • Competence in diagnostic procedures such as X-Rays.
