VCA RIVER, an AAHA-accredited emergency and specialty hospital in Chattanooga, TN, is seeking an Overnight Veterinary Technician to join our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care team. This full-time role runs Friday through Sunday, 8pm–8am, with a salary of $18–$22 per hour plus shift differential.

You’ll assist in diagnostics, anesthesia, imaging, and patient care, in a collaborative hospital environment. The successful candidate will have experience in emergency veterinary medicine, strong client

• Experience in emergency/critical care preferred.
• Ability to monitor anesthesia and assist surgery.
• Capable of lab work, imaging, and medical recordkeeping.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, diagnostics and treatments for patients in our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring and perioperative care.
• Prepare for and assist in surgical procedures.
• Perform lab work and specimen processing.
• Maintain accurate medical records.

Seeking an experienced Overnight Veterinary Technician for our Emergency Department!

Location: VCA Regional Institute for Veterinary Emergencies and Referrals (RIVER)

2132 Amnicola Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37406

Salary: $18.00 - $22.00/hour, based on experience and skill set. + Shift differential

Schedule: Full-Time, Friday thru Sunday 8pm - 8am

About The Role

You will support our 24/7 Emergency & Critical Care service by providing care, diagnostics and treatments for our patients. Skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to:
