MSPCA-Angell in Waltham, MA is seeking a Veterinary Technician or Assistant to support the Cardiology team. This on-site, part-time role provides clinical and customer service in a busy hospital, with Monday and Tuesday 7:30am–6pm, and some holiday coverage.
You will work with the assigned veterinarian and cardiology staff to assist with exams, imaging, case management, and client communications, while maintaining medical records and schedules.

The Position:
The Cardiology Technician/Assistant works collaboratively with their assigned veterinarian, other staff veterinarians and the entire Angell West support staff to provide our clientele with excellent clinical and customer service. These services include providing technical support in the examination room with outpatient and in-patient procedures, assisting with case management of animals admitted to the hospital, assisting with technical procedures, communications with clients and sometimes referring veterinarians. They assist the veterinarian in clinic, radiology and in other areas of the hospital as needed.

COMPENSATION:
Veterinary Assistants starting $22-$27/hour
Certified Veterinary Technicians starting $25-$30/hr
Please note that candidates with additional experience or credentials may be eligible for compensation aligned with their qualifications
APPLICANT REQUIREMENTS:
We are looking for applicants with at least two years of experience working as a veterinary technician/assistant. Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-veterinarian hospital, emergency practice, or veterinary teaching hospital is ideal. As this position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills, we require applicants to include a cover letter showcasing your writing skills.
