Responsibilities

  • Support neurologists and the medical team with patient assessments, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, nursing care, and maintaining accurate medical records.
  • Assist with diagnostics, treatments, and patient management for neurologic cases.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate changes in patient status to the medical team.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and educate clients on care plans.

Neurology Veterinary Technician

Shift/Schedule: Wednesday Saturday

About You

Are you passionate about providing exceptional care to patients with complex medical needs? As a Neurology Veterinary Technician, you will play an essential role in supporting advanced patient care while working alongside a collaborative specialty team. You will assist with the diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of neurologic patients while providing compassionate, high-quality care throughout their hospital experience.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supporting neurologists and the medical team with patient assessments, treatments, diagnostics, anesthesia monitoring, nursing care, and maintaining accurate medical records. Your dedication to patient advocacy, attention to detail, and commitment to continued learning will directly impact the lives of pets and their families.

This position will work a Wednesday–Saturday schedule and provides an opportunity to be part of a specialty team focused on delivering exceptional neurologic care.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Veterinary Technician licensure preferred
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of veterinary clinical experience preferred
  • Emergency, critical care, or specialty experience preferred
  • Strong interest in neurology and advanced patient care

An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology program is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.

  • Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care for neurologic and specialty patients
  • Support veterinarians and specialists in diagnostics, treatments, procedures, and patient management

  • Perform diagnostic testing including laboratory work, imaging support, and sample collection

Compensation

Compensation is negotiable based on credentials and experience. The anticipated hourly pay range is $20-$25. The actual rate offered will consider a variety of factors, including skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
