Location: Portage, MI 49002

Position: Licensed Veterinary Technician – VA Instructor (Part Time, Mornings – M-F)

Campus: Ross Education Holdings, Inc., Portage campus.

Class schedule: Monday‑Thursday 8:30 – 2:30 and occasional Fridays. Instructors may teach year‑round classes 1–4 days per week, scheduled and unscheduled.

You do not need any prior teaching experience; only experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician.

Qualifications

• Valid licensed Veterinary Technician through the state (or willingness to transfer).
• Minimum 2 years of recent Veterinary Technician experience.
• Adherence to Ross Code of Conduct and Professional Ethics.
• Effective communication in classroom and individual settings.
• Knowledge of subjects taught and ability to use Ross curriculum.
• Adaptability in fast‑paced environment.
• Physical ability to move around building and classroom; ability to stand for extended periods.
• Visual and auditory ability to operate computer equipment, use telephone, read materials, use whiteboard and classroom/office equipment.
• Proficiency with current technology to maintain student records.
• Professional demeanor, dress, and conduct as representative of Ross.
• Objective treatment of all students equally.

• Ability to achieve or maintain credential and/or licensure within expected time frames.
• Prior teaching or tutoring experience using a developed curriculum is preferred.
