Role Overview:

The Lead Credentialed Veterinary Technician provides expert medical care under veterinarian supervision, supports hospital operations, and mentors the technical team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership: Perform advanced tasks in nursing, anesthesia, surgery, radiology, and dentistry to ensure high-quality patient care.
  • Team Mentorship: Lead, coach, and onboard veterinary technicians and assistants, fostering a collaborative environment.
  • Operational Collaboration: Work with hospital leadership to optimize workflows, assign tasks, and implement protocols for better efficiency and outcomes.
  • Client Communication: Educate pet owners, review treatment plans, and facilitate informed decisions.
  • Inventory & Documentation: Manage medical supplies, maintain equipment, and ensure accurate medical records.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Graduate of an AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technician program.
  • Current Credentialed Veterinary Technician license in good standing.
  • Minimum of three years of licensed technician experience, with leadership or mentorship skills preferred.
  • Proficient in anesthesia, surgical assistance, radiology, and other technical skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to stay composed in a fast-paced environment.
Physical & Supportive Requirements

Ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work with animals and medical equipment.
