Lovet Pet Health Care is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our growing animal hospital in the Greater Phoenix area. You will assist the doctor during procedures, provide compassionate care to patients, and support clients with clear communication.

The role involves anesthesia support, nursing tasks, medical records management, and routine diagnostics. We value hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for growth within our Lovet team.

Qualifications

• Comfortable interacting with animals of varying temperaments.
• Strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Certified veterinary technician (preferred).
• Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures and surgery under supervision.
• Provide high quality care to pets and excellent client service.
• Assist in pre-anesthetic, anesthesia monitoring and post-operative care.
• Explain treatments to clients and obtain consent.
• Maintain medical records using practice software.
• Dispense medication, take x-rays, draw blood, place catheters, collect samples, perform vaccinations, and restrain animals as needed.
• Set up, break down, and clean medical equipment; assist with cleaning hospital areas.

We’re hiring a Veterinary Technician for our growing animal hospital.

Salary

$21 - $26 / hour

How You’ll Make a Difference

• As a Veterinary Technician, you will assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, while under their direct supervision. You will provide high quality care to all the pets in the hospital’s care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients.
• Deliver WOW customer service to client and their pet.
• Under the supervision of the doctor, assist in surgery care relative to pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Provide written and verbal communication to client regarding their pet’s care including answering any questions they may have, helping to educate them on treatments, and gaining their consent for treatment plans.
• Manage medical records through practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x-rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary.
• Set-up, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining of medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.
