Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Newark, DE seeks a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician for our Internal Medicine team. You will assist with anesthesia, radiology, ultrasound, endoscopy, and client communication, supporting doctors and improving patient care.

• Must be a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician with clinical skills.
• Experience with anesthesia and phlebotomy required.
• Familiarity with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math including CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway).
• Discharge patients with basic client education.
• Handle additional duties as assigned.

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Veterinary Technician to join their fast-paced I nternal M edicine department.

As an Internal Medicine Veterinary Technicians, you are a liaison between our internists and our clients regarding patient histories, care instructions, lab results, patient updates, and other topics as requested by the doctors. You will be involved with client contact through phone calls, email, and in person conversations. Additionally, you will be assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, filling prescriptions, taking X rays, and obtaining lab samples. Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.

Responsibilities

• Set up constant rate infusions (CRI).
• Calculate all medical math including advanced and CRI (mcg/mg, %/mg, etc.).
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Set up for ultrasound and radiology procedures.
• Set up and assist with endoscopic procedures (GI, nasal, urinary, airway). Clean and maintain equipment following procedure.
• Discharge IM patients from the hospital, including basic client education such as insulin injection, SQ fluid, and feeding tube demonstrations.
• Additional job duties as assigned.
