Job summary

Pieper Veterinary in Middletown, CT seeks a part-time Veterinary Technician for inpatient nursing on the 2nd shift. You will work in a VECCS Level I hospital environment, providing high-quality nursing care with a collaborative team.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of busy-hospital experience, an Associates in Veterinary Technology (CVT a plus), and familiarity with anesthesia, restraint, IV placement, and CPR tools such as EzyVet and SmartFlow.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of experience in a busy hospital focusing on nursing care.
• Associates degree in Veterinary Technology is a plus.
• CVT license is a plus.
• Knowledge of anesthesia and monitoring.
• Knowledge of schedules, client care, and laboratory tests.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient nursing care for veterinary patients.
• Assist with scheduling, receiving, treating, ordering supplies, and running tests.
• Tableside assistance and client communication during procedures.
