Massachusetts Veterinary Referral Hospital in Woburn, MA is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for our Overnight ICU team, delivering high‑quality nursing care to hospitalized and critical patients in a specialty hospital setting.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of veterinary technician experience preferred; ICU, Emergency, or Critical Care experience strongly preferred
  • CVT, RVT, or LVT preferred
  • Strong technical nursing skills with confidence managing hospitalized and critical patients

  • Excellent communication skills with both clients and team members

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high‑quality nursing care to hospitalized and critical care patients across ICU, Emergency, and Specialty services
  • Monitor patient vitals, treatments, and overall condition, reporting changes promptly to attending clinicians
  • Assist with advanced diagnostics, sample collection, medication administration, and dosage calculations
  • Support care for postoperative surgical patients, internal medicine cases, oncology patients, urgent care cases, and specialty referrals
  • Triage critical patients and assist with stabilization and ongoing monitoring
  • Provide compassionate client communication, including patient updates, education, and discharge instructions
  • Collaborate closely with Emergency clinicians, specialists, and fellow technicians to deliver exceptional patient care
  • Maintain accurate medical records and contribute to efficient daily hospital workflow
