Job summary

PetVet Care Centers’ Plainfield Animal Hospital in Plainfield, NJ is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team. The role supports hospital operations with patient care, exams, diagnostics, and nursing duties in a busy, compassionate practice.

We offer a collaborative, low-stress environment with opportunities to expand skills in diagnostics, surgery support, and client communication, while serving a diverse pet caseload seven days a week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older with a HS diploma or GED.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with drawing blood, vaccines, and handling animals.
• Experience with Antech and Idexx systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by taking vital signs, collecting samples, and administering medications.
• Assist during examinations and surgeries, including preparing instruments and restraining patients.
• Maintain medical records and ensure proper documentation of treatments and medications.
• Keep medical supplies stocked and equipment sterilized to support daily operations.
