Animal Medical Clinic at St. Johns is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians in a fast-paced multi-doctor animal hospital. The role includes assisting during examinations, restraining animals, and maintaining sterile equipment.

Ideal candidates bring strong customer service, teamwork, and clinical skills, with on-site availability and a willingness to work flexible hours including weekends. State licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Must hold current state licensure in good standing as a Veterinary Technician.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• On-site presence required to support patient care and collaborate with clinical teams.
• Experience in customer service is preferred.
• Applicants with veterinary experience non-credentialed are encouraged to apply and may be assigned to other roles.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians in patient care and examinations.
• Restrain animals during exams as needed.
• Stock examination and surgery rooms with supplies.
• Sterilize tools and ensure equipment is functional.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia administration, monitoring, dental prophy, radiography, medications, lab analyses, and client education.
• Communicate with clients and update patient files.
