St. Charles Animal Hospital, part of Vetcor, is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join a dedicated team in a fast-paced practice. The role accepts Licensed Veterinary Technicians or Veterinary Assistants and offers a full-time schedule with Monday–Friday hours and rotating Saturdays. Salary is negotiable based on experience.

The position emphasizes teamwork, professional growth, and providing compassionate patient care, with a strong focus on client education and collaboration with veterinarians.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year of veterinary experience.
• Strong patient care and animal handling skills.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring preferred.
• Strong communication and client education abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed
• Perform basic laboratory testing and sample collection
• Monitor anesthesia and support patient recovery
• Take and process digital radiographs
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Educate clients regarding treatments, medications, and preventive care
• Provide compassionate nursing care and patient support
• Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional patient care and client service
