Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Veterinary Technology with one year of animal care experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to the Assistant Director.
• Assess and evaluate animals and participate in clinical procedures per agency procedures.
• Answer inquiries regarding medical or behavioral problems.
• Schedule appointments and prepare clinic processing room for daily activities.
• Retrieve records and medical histories.
• Oversee assignments of veterinary assistants per ORC 4741.01 (G).
• Prepare surgery area for animals and verify information.
• Prepare drugs and animals for surgical procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and maintain surgical drug logs.
• Maintain post-operative instructions and follow-up services.
• Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
• Participate in adoption events, dog walking and dog care as needed.
