Job summary

National Veterinary Associates (NVA) is seeking a clinical veterinary technician to join our Anchorage network of animal hospitals and clinics. You will perform vital sign assessments, collect samples, place IV catheters, and assist during anesthesia and surgery.

You will run diagnostics, explain care instructions to pet owners, maintain medical records, and help manage equipment and supplies in a fast-paced veterinary setting.

Responsibilities

  • Clinical Care: Take vital signs, collect lab samples (blood, urine, tissue), and place IV catheters.
  • Surgery & Treatment: Administer and monitor anesthesia, prepare surgical instruments, and provide post-operative care.
  • Diagnostics: Perform lab tests and take X-rays or ultrasounds.
  • Client Communication: Explain care instructions, medications, and preventative health to pet owners.
  • Administration: Maintain patient medical records and manage equipment.
