GSVS Veterinary Emergency Care Morristown is hiring Veterinary Technicians (CVT or Experienced)

Location: Morristown, NJ, approximately 25 miles west of New York City.

Hours: Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday 12:30PM - 10:30PM

About the role:

Veterinary Technicians are essential to our team, providing medical care and treatments as ordered by veterinarians. Your daily responsibilities include:

• Triage patients
• Run laboratory tests
• Calculate medical math
• Place IV catheters and administer fluid therapy
• Maintain treatment and anesthesia records
• Obtain and prepare blood samples
• Assess and support patient pain management
• Advocate for patients and provide compassionate care
• Educate clients on at-home care
• Assist with anesthesia and medication administration
• Support patient care and hospital maintenance
• Assist with client communication

Qualifications:

• CVT/LVT or minimum 2 years of veterinary technician experience, proficient in anesthetic monitoring
• Laboratory specimen processing skills
• Knowledge of anatomy and physiology
• Understanding of physiologic ranges
• Mentoring skills for veterinary assistants
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Compassionate, team-oriented attitude with excellent communication skills
• Desire to learn and contribute positively
