Job summary

The ASPCA Community Veterinary Clinic (CM) team provides high-quality, high-volume spay/neuter surgery and preventive care for cats and dogs in underserved communities in New York. Technicians work closely with veterinarians and staff to deliver essential medical services and patient care.

Successful candidates will hold a NYS Veterinary Technician license, have surgery/anesthesia experience, and demonstrate strong animal-handling and client-service skills in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have current New York State Veterinary Technician License or ability to obtain within 30 days of employment.
• Experience with surgery/anesthesia is preferred.
• Excellent animal handling skills and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Care for 35-40 cats and dogs per day in spay/neuter surgery.
• Administer injections and medications, monitor patients, and maintain records.
• Enter medical information into databases and collaborate with ASPCA colleagues.
