Lovet Pet Health Care is hiring a Veterinary Technician to join our growing animal hospital. You will assist veterinarians in procedures, provide high-quality care to patients, and ensure excellent client communication.

Qualifications

• Certified veterinary technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, under direct supervision.
• Provide high-quality care to pets and excellent customer service to clients.
• Maintain medical records using practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x-rays, blood draws, catheter placement, and vaccinations.
• Care for equipment and assist with hospital cleanliness.

Veterinary Technician

We’re hiring a Veterinary Technician for our growing animal hospital.

Salary: $18.50 - $24 / hour

How You’ll Make a Difference:

• Assist the doctor with medical procedures, including surgery, while under their direct supervision.
• Provide high quality care to all the pets in the hospital’s care and demonstrate excellent customer service to clients.
• Deliver WOW customer service to client and their pet.
• Assist in surgery care relative to pre-anesthetic protocol, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care.
• Provide written and verbal communication to client regarding their pet’s care including answering any questions they may have, helping to educate them on treatments, and gaining their consent for treatment plans.
• Manage medical records through practice management software.
• Dispense medication, perform x-rays, perform blood draws, place catheters, obtain samples, provide treatments, run diagnostic equipment, administer vaccines, and provide animal restraint when necessary.
• Set-up, breakdown, cleaning, and maintaining of medical equipment.
• Assist with cleaning all areas of the hospital.

How You’ll Succeed:

• Comfortable interacting with furry, fuzzy, feathered, and scaly friends with calm and compassion.
• Have strong interpersonal and oral communication skills.
• Be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
• Be a certified veterinary technician (preferred)
• Associate degree in veterinary assisting (preferred)
