Job summary

  • Uphold safety protocols and sanitation standards in the hospital.

Role Overview

the Veterinary Assistant supports surgical and cardiology teams by assisting with procedures, preparing equipment, monitoring patients, and ensuring a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with surgeries and diagnostic procedures, including setting up equipment, maintaining sterility, and performing digital radiographs.
  • Support cardiology tasks such as patient restraint, monitoring, and diagnostic assistance.
  • Help with patient admissions, discharges, and client communication to ensure clear instructions and confidence.
  • Provide patient care, handle husbandry duties, and maintain hospital cleanliness and supplies.
  • Uphold safety protocols and hospital standards for sanitation and organization.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience in veterinary or animal care, with familiarity in restraint, patient prep, and instrument handling.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and a willingness to learn.
