Job summary

Noah’s Ark Veterinary & Boarding Resort, a privately owned small animal practice between Baltimore and Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant who loves animals and helping people as part of a collaborative team.

You will help keep the hospital moving, prepare rooms and supplies, and support the veterinary team in delivering attentive care. Previous experience is helpful but not required, and attitude, teamwork, adaptability, and a genuine eagerness to learn are valued.

Responsibilities

• Help provide a calm, safe, and compassionate experience for patients
• Assist the veterinary team with patient handling and restraint
• Prepare exam rooms, treatment areas, and supplies for appointments and procedures
• Help keep patients clean, comfortable, and appropriately housed during their visit
• Support basic patient-care tasks as directed and within your training
• Clean and disinfect rooms, equipment, and work areas
• Restock supplies and help maintain an organized hospital
• Assist with patient flow and communicate updates to the veterinary team
• Help with sample preparation and other routine support tasks as trained
• Follow hospital procedures for patient safety, cleanliness, and handling

We’re looking for a Veterinary Technician Assistant who loves animals, enjoys helping people, and wants to be part of a collaborative and supportive team.

Our assistants help keep the hospital moving and support the veterinary team in providing attentive care to every patient. From helping patients feel safe to preparing rooms and supplies, the work you do makes a difference throughout the day. We’re looking for someone who is dependable, compassionate, eager to learn, and comfortable working as part of a busy team.

Previous veterinary experience is helpful, but it isn’t required for the right candidate. We value attitude, teamwork, adaptability, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in learning.
