Job summary

Elite Veterinary Specialists is seeking a part-time Veterinary Technician Assistant for our Casselberry clinic. You will support veterinarians and technicians with patient care, exams, treatments, and client communication, with occasional travel to other Central Florida clinics to support the ophthalmology team.

You’ll gain hands-on experience in veterinary ophthalmology, performing lab work, medication administration under supervision, and helping with reception duties in a fast-paced,

• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (with assistance).
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

The Role

As a part-time Veterinary Technician Assistant at our Casselberry clinic, you’ll support our veterinarians and technicians with patient care, exams, treatments, surgeries, and client communication. You’ll be part of challenging and rewarding cases, making a real difference in the lives of our patients and their owners while gaining hands‑on experience in the specialized world of veterinary ophthalmology. This position includes occasional travel to our various Central Florida clinics (including Casselberry, Clermont, The Villages, and Winter Haven) to support our growing ophthalmology team as needed.

What You’ll Do

• Support veterinarians and technicians during exams, treatments, and surgeries

What We’re Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Training or experience in veterinary care, either on the job or formal
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs (more with assistance)
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to take on a variety of tasks, including housekeeping and reception duties
• A passion for animal care and enjoyment of a fast‑paced, supportive environment
