Job summary

Animal Medical Clinic Bountiful is hiring a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support doctors, clients, and patients in a busy practice. You will help organize diagnostics, coordinate treatments, and prepare discharge reports, while communicating with clients and pharmacies as needed.

The role requires at least 1 year of veterinary experience and solid communication skills. You will assist with restraint, radiography, and lab work, in a fast-paced environment that values teamwork and client

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary experience.
• Basic knowledge of veterinary medicine and terminology.
• Ability to communicate calmly, clearly, and effectively with staff and clients.
• Strong verbal and written skills.
• Strong attention to detail and follow through.
• Excellent customer service skills and a desire to provide outstanding service to clients.
• Ability to handle high stress situations.
• Flexible weekend availability.

Responsibilities

• Serve the critical role of being the liaison between doctors, clients, and patients.
• Organize/track patient diagnostics.
• Coordinate hospitalized patient treatment.
• Prepare patient discharge reports/in-hospital updates.
• Communicate with clients, referring DVMs; and pharmacies as needed regarding appointments, medical concerns, patient updates, referrals, and prescriptions.
• Assist veterinary staff in animal restraint, radiography, and with lab equipment.
