Doc-Side Veterinary Medical Center in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant for a full-time role. The position offers hourly compensation of $17.00 to $20.00 and is based in Baltimore, Maryland.

You will join a team that values technicians, supports growth, and provides patient-focused veterinary care. The role involves hands-on patient care, client communication, and collaboration with veterinarians to deliver high-quality medicine.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful relationships with clients while delivering compassionate patient care
• Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, and exotic patients
• Obtain patient histories and collect vital signs
• Assist with examinations and treatment plans
• Perform venipuncture and place intravenous catheters
• Administer medications (SQ and IV)
• Monitor patients under anesthesia
• Assist with surgical procedures
• Perform dental prophylaxis and dental radiographs
• Apply bandages and provide nursing care
• Run in-house laboratory diagnostics and obtain quality radiographs
• Collaborate with veterinarians and teammates to provide outstanding medical care
